This position will provide leadership in the growth and management of a team of Solution Architects. This role is responsible for providing and maintaining a well-defined approach to solution architecture, management of the solution architecture team (team of 2) and oversight of the solutions proposed and developed by this team. This role will also serve individually as solution architect on projects as necessary.
Serves as a co-chair of the Enterprise Technology Committee, which is responsible for governing application, data and technology architecture domains across the portfolio of major technology initiatives.
Serves as Solution Architect for the Guidewire Implementation program. This requires an in-depth familiarity with the Guidewire platform and its capabilities as well the unique aspects of specialty/large commercial business.
Works collaboratively with leaders from all departments to effectively communicate and build technological solutions to suit their business needs.
Works collaboratively with Senior I.S. leadership to identify, define, develop and implement techniques to improve our solution development methodologies with a focus on quality, speed to market, reliability and maintainability.
Prepares and presents written reports and oral presentations, following research and evaluation. Performs related duties as needed or assigned.
Responsible for providing team and project KPIs as required by senior leadership and the Project Management Office (PMO).
Responsible for ensuring the Solution Architecture team adheres to all assigned process and duties as defined by the organizations Development lifecycle.
Sprint planning for current and future releases so that the workload is distributed evenly across the Solution Architects.
Responsible for mentoring team, empowering them to take ownership of their tasks.
Supervisory duties for exempt and staff level employees.
Evaluates and conducts annual performance appraisals and identify opportunities for team development / training for direct reports
A Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree in I.T. related field.
A minimum of 15 years of working experience in I.S. or related field.
A minimum of 2 years in a leadership role on a Guidewire Insurance Suite implementation. (this is a nice to have)
Previous Insurance Industry experience; Large Commercial/Specialty preferred (this is a nice to have)
Architectural Lead experience implementing a core transformation project with the Guidewire Insurance Platform (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimsCenter, DataHub, InfoCenter)
Experience in building and maintaining a highly integrated service oriented architecture.
Demonstrated ability to lead people; organize, develop, and motivate a team; get results through others.
Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Deep understanding of various system design patterns and practices, and a demonstrated ability to choose and implement patterns successfully.
Strong client service orientation – demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders leading to “trusted advisor status”
Must be proficient in verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Good problem determination and resolution skills.
Ability to prepare and present oral and written reports, presentations, and recommendations and to perform necessary research or investigations.

Solution expert and primary point of contact between the organization and Vendors for operational items. Will be responsible for having a full understanding of the vendor’s system capabilities and how they are deployed and utilized internally. Serves as internal support for items that cannot be resolved by the internal Help Desk and is responsible for escalating to Vendor as needed for resolution. Responsible for all operational processes between the organization and Vendor including managing the change control process, tracking and monitoring SLA’s, reconciling invoices, and maintaining a product roadmap. Serves internal departments as the point of contact for Vendor related information and activities associated with satisfying the ongoing operational requirements of other departmental policies and procedures (i.e. Vendor Management, Security, compliance, IT, etc.). Will be a standing member of any/all Vendor related projects for enhancements and releases.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Partner with assigned business areas to gain deep understanding of their processes, plans, and how technology solutions are utilized by them.
Responsible for understanding the full product solution, its capabilities, and how it is being used by the organization in order to support users as well as provide analysis and recommendations regarding future uses and solutions to support the business.
Work with internal business units to ensure proper understanding and utilization of products inherent capabilities.
Create and maintain an ongoing product roadmap by working with internal business units to identify, sequence, and prioritize enhancement requests in conjunction with upcoming vendor releases and available budget allocation.
Represent the organization and provide input into Vendors product roadmap and enhancement planning.
Produce Feasibility Studies and Business Cases to support Life Cycle Management and prioritization.
Responsible for fulfilling the internal product management requirements associated with other departmental policies and procedures (Security, Vendor Management, audit, compliance, etc).

Evaluate and analyze business requirements, elicit information to help identify business needs and objectives, and propose solutions to solve problems.
Manage on-going communication and clarification of functional and non-function requirements in a clear and comprehensible manner to project staff, and other technical stakeholders.

Assist in preparation of testing strategy and test plans and drive SIT and UAT
Skills and Knowledge:
Superb judgement, value-add, as to the appropriateness of the business needs (true justification) and the proposed solution.
Excellent communicator (oral and written) with technical understanding (ability to interpret information) and the proposed solution.
Ability to read and understand technical requirements and design documentation to ensure vendor proposed solutions meet the needs and identify potential impacts to the environment.
Excellent organization and time management skills.
Understanding of business analysis activities, tasks, tools and deliverables.
Prior experience with products that will be managed.
Bachelor’s Degree (Management Information Systems or Business Administration preferred) with a minimum of 5-7 years of information technology experience.

QA Automation Analyst
Contract Right to Hire
Participate as a self-starter and key team member. Own the QA function on individual projects by providing QA Reviews and guidance, ensuring completion of test cases, and ensuring QA standards on tests, process and standards. As the key QA individual on any given project, clear communication, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to jump in and assist in any capacity on an Agile Team is crucial. Ability to define, setup and facilitate continuous integration automation test suites. Engages as a liaison between Development team, Business Analysts and Business Partners to comprehend and contribute to detailed business / system data processing requirements. Validation of system implementations against requirements through definition, execution, automation & tracking of detailed data testing strategies.
Ensure proper test coverage of User Stories in agile Sprints
Ensure Standards and Guidelines are followed with QA Reviews
Automate & execute detailed testing plans, test suites, test cases and test scripts enabling all levels of testing (unit, functional, integration, and regression).
Design and implement automated test suite solutions to reduce manual testing overhead.
Meet testing objectives in an agile software development program.
Partner with Project Manager, Technical Team Lead, Business subject matter experts and 3rd party data providers to leverage / contribute / validate systems data processing requirements.
Provide qualitative / quantitative analysis evidence to project stakeholders as part of data QA focus.
Meet regularly with Project Manager and Technical Team Leads during project execution to evaluate project data testing status, milestones, risks, issues.
Job Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
5+ years of designing and building reusable testing automation
Solid experience with automated functional testing tools, preferably Cucumber. Examples could be Cucumber, Fitnesse, Watir, Concordion, Canoo WebTest, Jacobie, HttpUnit, HtmlUnit, Geb, JMeter, or Sauce Labs.
Experience with statistical and/or financial analysis to independently validate algorithms.
Knowledge & application of statistical analysis techniques to independently validate algorithms.
Ability to translate business needs & requirements into holistic testing strategy.
Proficient analytical / problem-solving skills with ability to draw conclusions.
Effective oral and written communication skills with ability to make recommendations.
Ability to work well within a team environment and with limited supervision.
Formal experience with an ALM Testing Solution.
